Suffolk One is a Foundation school and operates in accordance with regulations relevant to the schools sector. Admissions to Suffolk One are organised in accordance with the following policy, which conforms to the national School Admissions Code and the Code on Admissions Appeals. This Admissions Policy applies to students seeking admission to full-time courses for 16- 19 year old students. As a foundation school, the Governing Body of the school, in accordance with this policy, makes the decisions about offers of places at Suffolk One.

For 2012-13 Suffolk One will admit up to 1000 pupils into Year 12. This is the published admission number (PAN) and is determined on the basis of the accommodation available to offer student programmes and courses.

Applications for a place at Suffolk One in September 2012 must be received by

31 January 2012. Details of the application process and address to which application forms should be sent will be available in all partnership schools and on the Suffolk One website www.suffolkone.org.

Course Requirements

An admission to Suffolk One will not guarantee a place on any particular course.

Courses may require particular GCSE or other suitable qualifications at a specific level of attainment. Details of the entry requirements for particular programmes of study and individual courses will be outlined in the Prospectus published in September 2011 for entry to Year 12 in September 2012.

Whilst it is expected that all courses published in the prospectus will run, it is occasionally necessary to cancel courses due to a lack of student interest.  If this should happen, the applicants will be notified as soon as possible.
