Art

This Foundation Learning course applies to students currently working below Level 1.

Art and Design is an exploration of the visual, tactile and sensory qualities of materials and processes. You will have the opportunity to work with traditional and new media, developing your critical, practical and creative skills. Art and Design studies images and artifacts across times and cultures and explores ideas and meanings in the work of artists, craftspeople and designers.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification and though it is not a requirement to have studied Art before taking this qualification, you will need to have a keen interest in the industry and aspirations for working in the Arts.
