Food Studies

This Foundation Learning course applies to students currently working below Level 1.

Food studies encompasses the study of food, diet and nutrition. These courses are for those of you wishing to enter in to employment in the Hospitality and Catering industry. Whilst giving you a general overview of the industry, this course will also give you an introduction to general cookery.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification and though it is not a requirement to have studied Food Technology subjects before taking this qualification you will need to have a keen interest in the industry and aspirations for working in related professions.
